Soilwater Technologies (SWT) is the research and development (R & D) arm of the Soilwater Group.

SWT investigates and develops pedotransfer functions (PTF) to establish relationships between easily measureable soil parameters and those that are more difficult and expensive to measure. Establishment of PTF enables the soil practitioner to maximise the information and understanding obtained from simple soil measurements, thus minimising project costs.

We also evaluate the effectiveness of common over-the-counter products for overcoming water repellence, and for increasing the water holding capacity and stability of soils. As a result of this work, and the need for products that actually work, we are in the process of developing our own products that can be safely used for a range of applications from household gardens to mine sites.
